FAQs

 Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know what to expect?

  • We will do a shoot consultation via Zoom or FaceTime before the shoot date, and answer all your questions about your shoot experience. Usually that’s where we get to know each other a little better, and fine tune the expectations for your shoot.

How much time can I anticipate for my shoot?

  • You can anticipate getting plenty of shoot time. And I do mean PLENTY. I’m not just providing beautiful, quality images, I’m providing an experience, and I like to take my time to give you the best experience I can. Don’t worry, you will not be rushed. I love what I do, so once I get started, the ideas just keep flowing. We will spend the time we need to get the best out of our clients.

Do you do both studio and outdoor portraits?

  • Yes. Whether we do your shoot indoor or outdoor, you can expect the same amazing experience and high quality results. Deciding to shoot indoor or outdoor will be your choice. I wear a mask the entire time regardless of where we shoot.

Do you do senior portraits?

  • Yes, of course. We give our seniors the option to choose to shoot outdoors on location, or in studio. Senior portrait shoots are based on what our senior wants. We put them in control to give them a fantastic experience and portraits that match their personalities. We will usually discuss all this at the pre-shoot consultation, at least two weeks before the shoot.

Do you travel?

. Of course! That’s all a part of the journey and the experience. Where would you like to go?

What about men? Do you photograph men?

  • Absolutely, we do photograph men. In our experience over the last six years, most of our clients have been women, and when I say most, I mean about 90%. But we do photograph men, because it’s important that men have fantastic portraits to show off how handsome they are. So we encourage all men to get their portraits made. We’ll make them look amazing as well.

Can I bring someone to my shoot?

  • Yes! We actually encourage friends and family to come see what we do to make these amazing portraits. Just keep in mind that anyone with free hands might be asked to hold a light or a fan or something else. We like to involve everyone in the process and make it fun.

Do I bring my own outfit?

  • Yes, please. Bring all the outfits and glam dresses that you haven’t had a chance to wear often, and have been sitting in the closet a little while. Been to a gala, ball, or some other formal event, and you’ve worn that dress only once? Yup, bring that too. Still got your wedding dress or tuxedo? Let’s glam that too. If you can’t find that dress, we have a limited selection of dresses from which you can choose one or two to use on our shoot.

What is your normal turnaround time after a shoot?

  • Usually two weeks, maximum. We will bring you back in for the in-person reveal to see and choose your amazing images.

What if I don’t know how to pose?

  • That’s actually an advantage. We walk you through everything, through every step of the shoot. We give directions and demonstrate to get the look, so it’s not something you have to worry about.

Can I just get the digital images?

  • Of course you’ll get the digital images, and you’ll get the prints with them too. We are print makers, so all digital images are accompanied with matching high quality prints. They look incredible printed or in a photobook, and they feel amazing as well. You can’t get that from a digital screen.
